Dear Pacific Northwest Tribal Climate Change Network:

Attached please find the notes from our call yesterday. My thanks to Carson Viles, our undergraduate research assistant, for taking the notes. We covered a lot of ground, so please use the table of contents and hyperlinks to navigate the topics. There are also quite a few attachments, so I've listed some brief information below about what you'll find with this email:

1. Meetings Notes from the 1/5/2012 PNW Tribal Climate Change Network conference call
2. Call for abstracts/scholarship request for tribal college students to participate in the May 2012 conference on Indigenous Peoples and Climate Change (http://uoclimateconference.wordpress.com/). Please forward this to anyone who may be interested.
3. Schedule of focus groups for the North Pacific Landscape Conservation Cooperative (LCC). There are ten focus groups scheduled for Jan. 17-27 will take place via webinar and conference call. For questions or to join a focus group, please contact Patricia Tillmann (National Wildlife Federation) at tillmannp@nwf.org or 1-206-577-7824 by January 11.
4. Report on National LCC Network Assessment Findings and Recommendations
5. PPT summary of the National LCC Network Coordination - Assessment Findings and Recommendations

Also, please email me by 1/23/2012 if you have any changes or updates to the Guide For Tribal Leaders on U.S. Climate Change Programs (http://tribalclimate.uoregon.edu/files/ ... 4-2012.pdf).

As you'll see noted in the minutes, we reached capacity (for the first time!) on our phone lines for the call. My apologies to anyone who was unable to join for that reason. I will research other tele-conference (and/or webinar) opportunities for future calls so that everyone is able to join.

As always, if you have questions, comments, or edits to the minutes, please email them to me or give me a call at 541-346-5777. I will post any revisions to the minutes on our website by the end of next week.

Regards,
Kathy
